We couldn't believe the difference between high tide and low tide at our beach. At high tide, it was deep enough to swim. In low tide, you could walk for a half mile out in the water and never get above your knees. I made it a point to never get in above my knees anyway.
Mama went running on the beach and the grown-ups went swimming, so Henry had to take care of Georgie.
I just loved Sadie's "ballerina babing suit." It had polka dots AND a skirt.
Henry discovered the virtue of a swim shirt and got a great farmers' tan.
Aunt Katie found this HUGE dead hermit crab and papa grossed everyone out with it.
We found and tortured many a hermit crab in whelk shells on vacation. By the end, the front yard was a veritable graveyard for poor dried out crabs.
Dash caught a ride with Unks.
I wish we never had to leave the beach. (Check out my Dora ballerina babing suit!")
Bring Junie in July!!!!
ReplyDeleteThe top picture of June is adorable. It's the first time I have ever thought she looked like Henry, or maybe she is just concentrating really hard on not spilling.
