Kayaking- mama.

Brandon, Aunt Jill, PawPaw and I bought a Groupon for a kayaking tour in Hilton Head.
We had our own private sunset tour.
The tide was just coming in when we started, so we had to weave through oyster beds on our way out. By the time we got back an hour later, they were 6 feet under water.
I love to kayak, but I've also learned to accept that I'm awful at it. I'm slow and I'm always going in the wrong direction.
We got to paddle under this huge bridge in the bay. It was pretty cool to see it from underneath.

We went under the bridge because dolphins tend to hang out there. We found out that bottle-nose dolphins in South Carolina coastal waters behave like nowhere else. They actually work together to corral fish then drive them on to the shore, where they catch them. Even Jacques Cousteau came to study them. We didn't see that, but we did get to see one dolphin floating along. It was big.

Looking tough as we made it ashore.
Let's do this again next year!
