For the rest of Miss Leah's visit, we stayed pretty quiet.
See the garden behind our sandbox? Miss Leah gave mama the oomph (and the extra manpower) to get everything in for the spring. The spinach is already up, the lettuce continues to grow, the potatoes are growing like crazy and the strawberries are blossoming. That new brick border is still right where mama left it though. You better get back down here, Miss Leah.
On the first day of spring, we discovered that Persians also celebrate it as the New Year. So mama consulted her Iranian friend and got the recipe for what mama calls "Iranian pork and sauerkraut" or at least what they eat on new year's. This is called Sabzi Polo. It's rice stuffed with tons of fresh dill, parsley and cilantro and saffron marinated fried fish. It was great. Even I liked it.
No surprise JoJo put back a ton of it either. But don't be fooled. She won't eat just anything. she hates bland food. Mama tried to feed her peas and couscous the other day, but found she'd only eat it if it was covered in sriracha sauce.
We're so glad you came to visit us, Miss Leah!
Miss Juliet and Mister Tony bailed mama out of a traumatic experience at the local Chuck E. Cheese-like place in Greenville (she cannot handle those places), so mama invited John over for the rest of the day when we got home.
We ate outside and started a corn cake factory. For those of you not in the know, a corn cake is a piece of corn on top of a piece of ravioli.
Then June graced us with a very long rendition of "A Coat of Many Colors" by Dolly Parton in its entirety. That girl loves Dolly Parton. The best part is, I don't think she's ever even seen a picture of Dolly, except maybe for the Christmas to Remember video. Is June ever in for a great surprise and how wonderful Dolly is.
Papa was out of town for the weekend at a conference and we got bored, so mama convinced me to spike up my mohawk.
What do you think? Do I look tough?
Bad to the bone, clearly.

Papa returned home to find mama truly burdened with the effort of taking care of two kids. Mama invited me to join them, bu ti was way too wiggly and got kicked off soon after.
And after another big week of guests, Jo had to spend some serious nap time catching up on sleep. This poor kid was so zonked, she didn't even hear mama come in and start to take pictures. And mama didn't even notice that big booger until just now.

Speaking of sleeping babies, mama got to watch our new little friend Wesley while his mom went out to run errands. Isn't he sweet. Jo liked him too and kept rubbing his belly.
Mama's been meaning to get videos of JoJo talking, but it always seems like as soon as she gets out the camera, Jo stops. She did catch a snippet of Jo singing the opening of her favorite song- the Dora the Explorer theme song. And that's the back of a chair she's playing with. Covered with stickers. The house has really gone to hell since the third kid showed up.
