Staying in town?- Henry.

We don't know what to do with ourselves when we're not constantly on the road. Mostly we try to have fun without driving each other crazy. When does school start again?
Junie has been busy earning Polly Pockets by sitting on the potty.
She lines all her Polly's up on the table into little parties. Nice bedhead, June.
Mama put shoes on Georgie. I don't think she was into it.
Look was she was into! George loves, LOVES plastic bald-headed babies. She was very pleased she was wearing almost the same dress as her favorite baby.
Mama always says the only thing that makes South Carolina summers bearable is the fact that blueberries grow down here. Every week or so, she packs us up and takes us up to the mountains to our favorite farm to pick pounds and pounds of blueberries, blackberries, figs and (soon) grapes. If you think this is a lot of blueberries, you should see how many all of us ate while we picked. Here's a hint, none of the blueberries we picked ended up in a bowl.

(Here's a funny story. This week, June and I are going to a vacation bible school (our fifth this summer), so mama and Georgie went up to the farm to pick what may be our last harvest of blueberry season. Normally, Georgie crawls around in the dirt scavenging berries and making a mess of everything. Today, mama confined her to her stroller. Mama was able to keep her busy for almost 2 hours by parking the stroller next to a bush and letting Jo pick her own berries. Jo loved it.)
In and effort to get this homebody outside, mama decided we'd start geocaching together. When geocaching, you enter coordinates into your GPS and try to follow them to find a treasure that someone has hidden. If you look under the tree to the left, you can see a container hidden. (Sorry, mama took this picture with her cell phone.) We have a good time finding treasure, though I am quick to give up. But mama usually doesn't let me.

As further motivation, mama said I could start my own blog to detail our adventures. I'm a little backlogged right now because mama can't get me to write anything out our latest finds, but keep checking back, because there are lots of treasures out there!

By the way, in case you're wondering, my blog is named after a book my Grams used to read Uncle Adam when he was little. It's about another kid named Henry who goes looking for treasure. But I don't think he had a GPS.
