Down here, there's only one way to spend your weekend- on the lake. Seeing as we don't have a boat, we don't get to do it very often. But on the 4th of July proper, Miss Kerri invited us to go out with her mom and dad on their boat. (Papa, of course, was working.)
We all climbed on the pontoon, got on our life jackets and were ready to hit the open water.
Georgie did not care for her life jacket.
James' grandpa let Henry drive the boat.
It was the perfect day to be on the lake.

Soon, we got to our destination. We landed on an island with a little beach. We played in the sand, ate lunch, and did some swimming. The water in Lake Keowee is always very warm (at least 85 degrees) so Georgie played for a little while and promptly fell asleep.
