In order to open Christmas presents, the kids had to agree to take some pictures. I was asleep, so I guess that doll is the stand in for me.
Sibling love.
Aunt Molly got mama a cheese making kit for Christmas. It's supposed to make mozzarella cheese. This came out more like ricotta. But it tasted good and did get made into a pasta dish and some lasagna. Luckily, the kit came with enough to make 30 batches. Mama tried another batch at Gram's house and it was a little better. We think the third time will be the winner.
Aunt Jenni's friend Erica brought over Elle to spend the afternoon with us. We caught her reaction after her first taste of lemon.
We didn't get any pictures of it, but all the kids played outside in the snow one afternoon (minus June and I, who vow to never enjoy snow- EVER.) They went sledding down the back hill, threw chunks of ice from the creek, climbed over the creek and all separately broke though ice in different spots (no one got wet), and explored the woods all the way over to the next house. It was so much fun!
We had the annual Meyer-Seibert Christmas party. We're up to 15 kids (and one more due in a couple weeks!). It was crazy getting a picture of all 15. There are about 30 pictures with a slowly increasing number of kids. We'd take a picture and someone would say "Wait? Where's Henry?" (or Jesse, or Cole, or June). Eventually, we got all 15 in the shot. It was a great party because the kids played downstairs in the basement and got to stay until 10pm!
Before we left we went over to visit Great Grandma and Great Grandpa Seibert, who loaded us up with animal crackers for our next leg of the trip.
