Georgiana's baptism-June.

While we were home in Ney, we took advantage of the fact that Georgiana's godparents were also in Northwest Ohio for Christmas. So on the day after Christmas, Georgie was baptized at Grandma and Grandpa's church.

The water was a little cold, but Georgie didn't dry much.

I took liberties with the baptismal font. Good thing Father Jim likes kids because Uncle Kevin spotted my stuffed dog floating in the font after a "do-it-yourself" baptism I performed.

Thanks Mister Josh and Miss Leah for coming over!

Two things to note:

First, we think mama might have a "sensitivity" to shrimp. Starting Christmas Eve, her eyes started burning. They hurt for 4 days straight, and no medicine or eye drops helped at all. Since they eventually got better at Grandma Seibert's house, we don't think mama was allergic to anything there. All we can figure is that she ate shrimp 4 days a row and mama's never eaten that much shrimp in her life. So much for expanding her seafood horizons. Those 4 days were pretty crummy and mama wants to apologize to everyone for being constantly grumpy and sleeping through most of Christmas.

That being said, mama hopes that a possible allergic reaction and an old glasses prescription are excuse enough for Henry's baptism attire. Blue shirt, black vest, blue work pants and sneaks? Ugh! Mama cringes every time she sees these pictures. Why the unbuttoned top button? With the shaggy hair, Henry looks like he's in a Partridge Family cover band.
But clearly, Henry feels pretty good about the look.

Despite (or maybe because of) Henry suave threads, the Turners look pretty good.
4 generation of Wagner women.
Mama spent a good deal of time trying to find a nice picture of me genuinely smiling for a picture frame. She had to go back 3 months and crop out Georgie's head. Looks like I have another 3 months before I have to do it again.
Almost all of the Seiberts. Evie came down with croup on Christmas Day and had to stay away from elderly people and children, which is most of the Seibert family. She and Uncle Jim did join us the next day.
Back at the house, we had a little lunch to celebrate. You can't find a Seibert party without an ice cream cake these days.
And wouldn't you know? Baby's first food. The best part was when mama walked in to find Grandma dipping Georgie's nuk in whipped cream. She loved it!
Olivia, the best napper in the world, slept through Mass and the baptism. She eventually woke up and showed everyone her near-crawling skills.

Thanks to everyone for joining us for Georgie's day!
