Thrilling Thursday Banana Racers- June.

A few weeks ago, mama took all of us (plus John) to the store. While we were there, we convinced mama to buy a craft kit. (On this same trip, a total stranger stopped mama to tell her she has nice legs. Mama told this woman that she was glad all of her work at the gym is paying off. The woman told her only Jesus can give you good legs. Looks like mama can stop going to the gym!)

Anyhoo, the boys had an awesome time constructing their banana racers. They used apples instead, because mama thought they would hold up better than bananas. They came with wheels you stuck in the apples and stickers to decorate it.

The kit only came with enough to make 4 racers. And for the first time ever, I cared what the boys were doing and was mad I didn't get a racer. Mama offered to make me one with legos, but I instead cried in the garage while I ate my apple.
Georgie didn't get a racer or an apple. She was not happy being stuck in the walker, but it does slow her down so she doesn't get into anything (or climb up brick steps, or climb and knock over bikes, are crawl down to the road).

Mama constructed a sort of fence that we stretch across the driveway to stop any balls or toys from rolling down the hill and into the woods across the street. Good thing she did because JoJo managed to get herself out far enough to start the quick descent down hill. The fence worked. after that, mama instituted the new rule: Georgie's not allowed out of the garage. We 5 big kids did a great job of grabbing Jo and rolling her back into the garage everytime she tried to make a break for it.
The boys managed to break most of wheels for the racers, but mama did salvage two sets for me to make my own racer later. Here's my finished project.
