Miss Holly sent us down a disc with her pictures from Topsail Island. Pretend it's still 90 degrees (that's actually not that hard for us) and enjoy the pictures.
This won the contest for "Most Ridiculous Bathing Suit."
Lucky for me, my prize was Olivia's old bathing suit that is ruffly, but not quite so embarrassing.
The real payoff of getting Miss Holly's pictures was this video. I loved the ocean and this is how I spent many hours crawling up and down the beach.
Mom and I could hardly stand the excitement of sitting inside an alligator's mouth.
Here's proof of the turtle nests that consumed our evenings.
Sitting out on a beach at dusk isn't a bad way to spend the the night.
On the last night, we got to see an old nest get cleaned out and saw a bunch of unhatched eggs and broken shells.
We're going back again next year, right?
