Henry's been begging to take gymnastics for about a year. John takes classes and so did a surprising number of his day school classmates. Last year, I wasn't ready to add any kind of commitment to our afternoon schedule (class was at 2:30!). But this year, class was at 4:30, and Brandon can take off work without upsetting his whole afternoon or we can carpool with John. Between Brandon and Juliet, they've got the boys covered, so I'd never been to a class before this week.
To be quite honest, I saw the guys warming up and thought, "I don't think these guys are going to make it to the competitive team."
But they were actually pretty good! John was so good, by the end of this rotation, he told the teacher not to help him. He flipped over all on his own!
Henry did some good flips too. He's a pretty fast runner, but have you ever noticed that his legs move for about a second before his body starts going? He's like a cartoon character.
