We woke up on Easter morning to find our Easter baskets full of treats and candy!
Gracie was up early waiting for her bunny.
Audrey's mom let the girls follow our Easter morning tradition of eating our bunny before breakfast. She learned her lesson last year and did not get them huge, solid chocolate bunnies this year.
June's stock food pose.
Let's dig in!
Junie got that hair bow in her basket, and it was the only thing mama let her wear and she prepared to eat her chocolate. But in true Seibert form, the bunny didn't last long enough to melt all over her.
Our chief Easter tradition remains mama's lamb cake. This year, mama stopped using cake mixes and used the recipe on the back of the ancient box the cake mold came in. Believe it or not, the cake came out perfect for the first time ever. It looks a little funny because mama insisted on using her favorite coconut pecan frosting under the coconut. My favorite part was the green grass and the jelly bean eggs.
Since everyone else got candy for breakfast, mama melted a cadbury egg on top of her pancake. And it was delicious.
Poor Georgie. She didn't get a chocolate bunny and she didn't get any of the lamb cake. Maybe next year, Sweet G.
