Henro's turn- mama.

Now for a comprehensive Henry update.
Henry is growing up much faster than we'd like. Add on the fact he can be a total stick in the mud and a stickler for rules and it's like he's practically a 50 year old man. I guess when you have two dramatic sisters, you have to be the sane one.

Sane, but still capable of being a total goof. Check out that heart beard. Valentine's Day was a beautiful, sunny, warm day. Henry declared that the wonderful weather must be God's gift to us. He must have forgot to write out his valentines.

He's having a great time in the kindergarten program at his school. It goes until 2pm and he is exhausted by the end of the day. Add on that he usually gets to stay up from naps on the weekends and for Movie Monday at James' house. So by Friday afternoon, Henry is zonked. He doesn't want to take a nap, but is usually asleep within minutes.
It breaks our hearts that Henry is growing out of toys he used to play with constantly. He doesn't park his matchbox cars much anymore. He loves his legos, workbooks, and cutting and sticker projects. He's still very much into his LeapStart computer game (which we totally recommend). And he LOVES to play Super Mario Brothers for the Nintendo 64. But he's not very good, so he and Brandon tag team to find stars.
Our favorite perk of Brandon's job at Clemson is free admission to most college sports. Last week, we made it to only our second girls basketball game of the season. Generally, Brandon and the kids sit high up, but I insisted we go down and sit floor side. Unfortunately for the girls team, you can get front row seats at almost any game. But it all paid off. Henry scored a t-shirt that the cute cheerleaders were throwing out (adult size XL). When he put it on, he made it up on the JumboTron! But when he saw himself up there, he got nervous and dove under his seat leaving a laughing mama on the big screen with a sleeping Georgie. We still declared it a success as mama's biggest sporting event dreams were both realized.

  1. Sounds like a great time was had by all at the basketball game! And Henry, time on the jumbotron should be spent being silly - no need for shyness!
