Friends in town!- June.

You saw some of Miss Becky's pictures a few posts ago.  Since then, mama found her camera and uploaded our pictures.
Three great girls on the steps of the Jefferson Memorial.  (Don't tell me you didn't notice Unicorny.)
Henry and Grace try a more modern approach to posed photography.
Henry can't stop loving Gracie.
Perhaps the first picture of all 5 kids looking and smiling EVER.  FDR will do that to you.
The new MLK Memorial is awesome.  This was mama's first time.
We stopped for lunch on a huge tree stump in the shadow of the DC War Memorial.
It was empty, so we had a chance to act really goofy.
So we started out at the Thomas Jefferson Memorial, walked all the way around the basin and came up to the Lincoln Memorial.  But we weren't worn out yet.  Look at pink JoJo running up the steps to see Mr. Lincoln.  She sped past a bunch of middle aged ladies who laughed and said they couldn't complain about climbing steps if JoJo could do it.
Henry made all the funny and irreverant jokes that animatronic Lincoln said in the "Night at the Museum: Smithsonin" movie.
You wouldn't think this place was packed, but there was one corner where you could wait and get a photo taken.
All that running caught up with Jo and she took to the stroller for a quick nap.
It's a long walk to the Washington Monument and that's only halfway down the Mall.
Here's the next installment of "Dead in DC."   We're a classy bunch.
We decided not to go see the White House up close, but did spot it through the trees.
For our last stop, we visited the Natural History Museum.  Unicorn loved the giraffes.
After all that walking, we were lucky that mama walked back to get the car.  And mama was lucky papa took all 5 kids home for supper and bedtime.  Best weekend ever!
